2009-2010 Scholarship Program in Full Swing
A committee headed by Sacramento attorney Gerald W. Filice, with members Richard Hernandez (Hyatt Regency Sacramento), Sam Hedgepeth (MAACO North Highlands), David Larsen (Farmers Insurance, Roseville), and others, is implementing the 2009-2010 scholarship program. After revising and streamlining the application process, the committee is currently actively taking steps to ensure that the community learns of and takes advantage of the scholarship program.
The Foundation awarded two $1,000 scholarships to students at the annual dinner in 2008. This year the Board has budgeted $4,000 for the program. The scholarship committee will determine how these funds will be allocated. Information about the program, including the application forms and deadlines, are available on the Foundation’s main webpage.
